  • October 3, 2011. Harpers Ferry, WV. You can see 3 states from this point and 2 rivers. The bridge in the distance has Maryland on the left and Virginia to the right and the church is in West Virginia. The church is sitting high on a point and the Potomac river is flowing east from the left and the Shenandoah river is flowing east from the right they join just ahead of the steeple to become the Potomac.

  • October 21, 011. Harpers Ferry with the Shenandoah River in the background. I climbed a mountain, came over the crest , came part way back down and went out on a rock cliff to take this shot... it almost killed me! I hope you like it.

  • October 4, 2011. Harpers Ferry, WV. This rustic door is an entrance under the church that I posted yesterday. I haven't ever noticed it before. There are so many interesting things to see here and it has a very European feel to it, narrow streets, steep steps carved into stone. You get quite a work out just taking a walk. I like to go in the early evening when all the tourists have gone. It's really an amazing place, as I mentioned yesterday there are rivers on both sides which join at the end of town and on each side of the rivers mountains rise up and the views are breathtaking.

  • October 6, 2011. I was devastated to wake up this morning and see the face of Steve Jobs on my Macbook with the dates of his birth and death. It is amazing to think of how many lives this man has touched and I particularly love the commencement speech that he gave at Stanford about following your dream, which I think all of us can totally relate to. My heart goes out to his family. My he rest in peace. Door. Harpers Ferry, WV.
