  • Photofreak. March 28, 2014. This is for Godschild. Sculpture at Glencairn Park, Rock Hill, SC. The "Wildflower Fairies" are my Granddaughters, Abby in yellow, Sarah in orchid and Leah in coral. I tried to find out who the sculptor is but couldn't find any info but don't they remind you of your post yesterday?

  • May 26, 2013. I can't remember what these are called... other than beautiful!!! Ah yes, Foxgloves! Thanks so much, you guys are the best and I'm glad you noticed the little hairs inside. What a surprise they were when I saw this on my computer. Also, thanks Terry for the info about Digitalis coming from this plant. I did know, even though I couldn't remember anything last night, that the botanical name for Foxgloves is Digitalis but I never put the two together... very interesting!

  • August 31, 2011. I stopped to ask a man sitting on the porch of his country store if I could take some photographs of his sunflowers. He said "sure, go right ahead, and you might like some pictures of the dahlias around the side of the store too". So I went around the side of the store and saw his dahlias. They were nearly 8 feet tall and such a beautiful sight. The most beautiful colors... white, pink, burgundy, pale yellow, coral, you get the picture... I was in heaven! He strolled over with his pocket knife while I was snapping away and babbling about how exquisite his dahlias were and he cut a big bouquet of every fabulous color and handed them to me. I was blown away by his kindness and generosity. I come across people like this every day because of my passion for photography, but I never cease to be amazed. Thank all of you so very much for all of your wonderful comments on my photograph yesterday. It was the first time ever for me to have the number one shot of the day and it was very much appreciated. I have seen such an improvement in my abilities since joining the Dailies and so much of that is due to the wonderful people that I've come to know here. Again, thank you so much for your support and inspiration!
